HIGH POINT, N.C. — A tree fell over and hit a church in High Point on Friday.

It happened at the Assembly of Christ at 301 East Lexington Ave., according to High Point police and fire dispatchers.

An electric transformer on a power pole blew, knocking over the tree, according to authorities. No injuries were reported.

The tree landed on the roof over the entrance to the church, but the main church structure was not damaged.
