ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A registered sex offender who has been on the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Most Wanted list since mid-July has been captured.
Matthew Damion Parham, 22, was arrested for failure to notify of address change by a registered sex offender and interfering with an electronic monitoring device.
Parham allegedly cut his electronic monitoring device off in mid-July and left his residence. He was placed on the Most Wanted List when authorities became aware of this.
Parham was captured in the early morning hours Friday. He was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $380,000 secured bond.
The suspect was convicted of indecent liberties with a minor last year. He was 19 and the victim was 14 when the crime occurred, according to the North Carolina Sex Offender Registry.
