Police charge NC man in shooting death of 7-year-old

WILSON, N.C. — Police say they have made an arrest in a shooting that left a 7-year-old Wilson boy dead.

WTVD-TV reported that the shooting happened just before 10 p.m. July 23rd in the 400-block of Parkview Street.

Someone fired multiple bullets into a home, striking Kamari Jones, according to investigators. Officials said the boy was rushed to Vidant Medical Center, but he died the next morning.

Thursday, the Wilson Police Department announced it has charged 24-year-old charged Montavius S. Davis with first-degree murder.

Detectives said they continue to investigate and more arrests are expected.

    So, The One, you don’t think any of that has to do with A. A racist law enforcement system (see New York, LAPD, etc.), B. A racist judicial system, C. Economic disparities, D. Educational disparities, and the list goes on? These documented realities regarding race in America make less sense to you than the theory that people of color have a racial proclivity towards criminal activity? Man, I wish I was a simple minded as you and Bo–life must truly be bliss for people as ignorant as you.

    This story is not a matter of race at all. The fact is that a video captured an officer using a move that was not allowed by his department and that move caused the death of a person. It really shouldn’t be long before some murder charges are filed if things proceed like they should.
