1 arrested, 1 sought for string of robberies in Winston-Salem
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police have arrested a man in connection with a series of robberies that occurred on July 28 and July 29.
Darion Darell Gist, 24, of Winston-Salem, was charged with attempted common law robbery, common law robbery and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Gist is accused of attempting to rob the Tobacco Shop and Cigars store on Silas Creek Parkway and robbing two people as they were withdrawing money from ATMs.
Gist is being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $50,000 secured bond and has a court date of Aug. 21.
