Truck fire in Winston-Salem investigated as arson

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police are investigating a vehicle fire as arson in Winston-Salem early Wednesday morning.

Crews responded to Murphy’s Gas in the Walmart parking lot on Parkway Village Circle around 4:44 a.m. where an unoccupied Chevrolet truck was on fire. The flames were quickly extinguished.

Investigators received information that the fire was intentionally set.

No other property was damaged and no one was injured.
