Vani Hari's life sounds like the quintessential american story.

Her parents emigrated from India and dove head first into American life.

So much so that she jokes that her two best friends when she was a kid were Betty Crocker and Ronald McDonald.

In her 20s, Vani was overweight and on a series of medications.

She says finding natural foods is what turned her life around and now, playing off her good looks and calling herself the "Food Babe," she's created a one-person industry.
