CLEGG, N.C. — Two cars of a Norfolk Southern freight train derailed as the train was moving onto a siding in Clegg on Tuesday evening.

The derailment happened near the Durham County-Wake County line.

The train is currently blocking the main rail line between the Triad and Raleigh. As a result, Amtrak passengers are being forced to ride a bus around the derailment.

There were no injuries in the freight train derailment and Norfolk Southern has work crews on the way to clear the line.
