Burlington brothers arrested after multiple vehicle break-ins, fleeing from police

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Two brothers were arrested when police say they were inolved in multiple vehicle break-ins and then attempted to flee police.

Burlington Police responded to the 3000 block of Blanche Drive and the 2600 block of Catherine Drive around 8 a.m. Monday where they located five vehicles that had been broken into.

Later in the day, officers located two suspects at 700 Huffman Mill Road in Burlington.

While speaking to someone at the apartment, a man was seen fleeing out the back door. Instead of complying to demands, the suspect led police on a chase.

After a short pursuit both suspects were located and taken into custody.

Several items of stolen property were later recovered.

Rolando Dupeyron, 18, and Orlando Dupeyron III, 22,  both of 706 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, are both charged with three counts of breaking and Entering Motor Vehicle, larceny of a firearm, two counts of larceny, felony possession of a stolen firearm, felony possession of stolen goods, possession of marijuana, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and resist, delay and obstruct an officer.

This investigation is continuing.
