Items stolen from more than 15 cars in Davidson Co.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. — Thieves see unlocked cars as a quick target and that’s exactly what happened in Davidson County over the weekend.

In one night, thieves hit at least 17 cars in this area around Mellon Drive and Laura Drive.

They took whatever they could get their hands on.

Lindsey Eaton reports.

  • Wow.

Not very much real information in this report. Glad the man’s iPad was not taken, and that’s sure a cute baby! Not sure why this story was even done, though… any clues on suspects? Anything of value taken? It says “most” of the cars were left unlocked. In the ones that were locked, how did the thieves gain access to the cars? What can people do to keep their possessions out of the hands of thieves? Not a very good report at all.

Why, Lori? The story says that some of the cars that were broken into were unlocked. Also, it says that the thieves took pennies, and left an iPad. Maybe it was kids, messing around. We don’t even know how the thieves gained access to the locked cars. Did they break a window? Shoddy journalism.

Yea Davidson county Sheriff dept was about the same way when they were called to report my stolen property. Had Yamaha 4×4 atv and generator and wheels stolen out of barn where they have been stored for years. These items were among couple zero turn lawnmowers and golf cart and tractor that we use on the farm. I dont know but if these cars were in Motsinger Heights this happened Sunday light a week ago now last night.
