Burlington man charged with 3 counts of felony statutory sex offense
ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — Detectives have arrested a man in connection with multiple felony counts of first-degree statutory sex offense.
Fransisco Avila Torres, 53, of Burlington, was arrested on Monday and charged with three counts of felony first-degree statutory sex offense.
The charges stem from an alleged incident that happened on Friday.
Torres reportedly engaged in sexual activity with an eight-year-old girl. Parents of the victim reported the incident to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office.
Torres reportedly knew the victim but was not related to her.
Torres was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $250,000 secured bond and is scheduled to appear in court July 29.
