3 teens accused of setting off ‘Drano bomb’ on bus turn themselves in to police
DURHAM, N.C. — Durham police say three teens accused of placing a “Drano bomb” on a city bus Tuesday night have turned themselves in.
According to WTVD, investigators are consulting the District Attorney’s Office on charges.
So far, no charges have been filed.
The three males are all over 16 and would be charged as adults, the News and Observer is reporting.
Surveillance video showed three teens placing a plastic bottle on the bus, which eventually set off a small explosion.
Hazmat crews were brought in and streets blocked off while police investigated.
The only passenger on the bus was shaken up, but not injured.
