Surveillance video released of Durham ‘Drano Bomb’ explosion on city bus

DURHAM, N.C. — Police have released surveillance video showing three teens accused of setting off a “Drano Bomb” on a public transit bus Tuesday night.

Officials were called to the intersection of West Main and Corcoran Streets around 9:35 p.m. after a jug exploded.

Shortly before the explosion, three teens were seen getting on and then exiting the bus.

No one was injured, but a passenger sitting near the explosion was treated at the scene for exposure.
