NC Marine accused of DWI, ramming family’s SUV with child on board
JONES COUNTY, N.C. — A Marine in eastern North Carolina was accused of driving drunk and repeatedly ramming a vehicle Saturday night, according to WCTI.
Nicholas Patrick Greene, 22, of Camp Lejeune, was charged with four counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
Greene was reportedly following a Honda Pilot on U.S. 17 at a speed of 80 to 100 mph when he rammed into the back of it.
The Honda was occupied by a mother, father and child. The father told authorities Greene rammed the SUV approximately 20 times, but he and his family were not injured.
At one point, Greene also hit a Ford Mustang.
When Greene was arrested, deputies said he blew a .23.
Greene claimed he was pursuing “federal fugitives.” He has since bonded out of jail.
