BURLINGTON, N.C. — A Burlington man was arrested on several sex charges early Monday morning.
Police were called to the apartment about 1 a.m. Monday about a domestic disturbance. Police say they spoke to Michael Brandon Curtis, 37, who refused to let them speak to his girlfriend.
Curtis was removed from the apartment and officers talked to his 37-year-old girlfriend about what happened, who said she was physically and sexually assaulted, according to police.
Curtis, of 7484 Wood Springs Drive, is charged with two counts of second-degree sexual offense, assault on a female, resist delay and obstruct, communicating threats, interfering with a 911 call and obstructing a domestic violence investigation.
Curtis was placed in the Guilford County Jail without bond.
