Greensboro man robbed by suspect with box cutter

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man was robbed by a suspect with a box cutter while walking in Greensboro early Friday  morning.

The victim told police that he was walking in the area of Spring Garden Street and Mendenhall Street around 3:34 a.m. when he was approached by three suspects.

One of the them held up a box cutter and demanded his money and property.

The suspects fled with an unknown amount of the victim’s money.

No injuries were reported.

The first suspect was described as a black male, approximately 6’2” tall, with a muscular build, shoulder length dred locks, wearing a white tee shirt, and armed with a box cutter. The other two suspects were described as black males, approximately 5’8” tall, wearing dark colored athletic shorts.

The investigation is ongoing.

    Problem is this – The victim told police that he was walking in the area of Spring Garden Street and Mendenhall Street around 3:34 a.m. when he was approached by three suspects…..why the heck are you walking around in Brownsboro that last at night????? Just asking to be robbed!
