HENRY COUNTY, Va. — The Henry County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two men in connection with the murder of two brothers from Axton, Va.
Alfonso Navarro-Pena, 40, and Noel Navarro-Pena, 33, were found dead at the end of June. Investigators say they found $28,000 in cash, 25 pounds of marijuana, 2.6 ounces of cocaine, as well as drugs and ammunition at the brothers’ home.
“It appears at this time that the motive for these murders may have been related to money over drugs,” said Sheriff Lane Perry.
24-year-old Jonathan Rivera-Olvera and 33-year-old James Travis Moore were arrested in connection with the murders Wednesday.
Rivera-Olvera has been charged with two counts of 1st degree murder and two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Moore has been charged with one count of 1st degree murder and one count of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
