Abandoned dog waiting year for owner to return gets amazing makeover after being rescued

An abandoned dog waiting more than a year for his deceased owner to return has been rescued.

According to the Huffington Post, when Woody’s owner died, the family sold the house and left him outside. For more than a year, the poodle waited underneath a nearby shed.

Eldad Hagar, founder of animal rescue organization Hope for Paws, found Woody and nursed him back to health.

Woody got a makeover, started eating and learned to love again.

Woody is in a foster home, but no one has adopted him yet. For more information, visit www.hopeforpaws.org.

I am so sick of people who think animals are to be abused or just left. This is so sad and sick. How does anybody just leave the dog. The people who left him need to be charged with animal abuse. So glad he was rescued and is ready for adoption.

Thing is, I suspect that 90% of the dog population does more for the betterment of mankind and contributes more to society than 90% of the human race does.

Like Skellison said family of man sold house and abandoned the dog! So Faith FaithC was correct. Your answer w very rude to say he least, uncalled for. If you are a stand up person, Stephanie you will apologize.

Reckless abandonment charges should be taken out against the dead owner’s family. They knew they had the affairs and estate to tend to – the pet wasn’t…so charges and any additional fees and care of pet should be on them.

@ Brewnwood Parrish and Seriously? – The family should be held responsible to the nines and with out question. They knew that doggie was there. I don’t want to hear it. Loathesome …

This is a prime example of how most so called humans treat lives anymore. I pray that “family” gets a much needed visit from Karma! I hope that precious baby finally got a loving, safe FOREVER home.
