Southbound lanes of US 52 in Winston-Salem reopened after tractor-trailer overturns

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A tractor-trailer that overturned in the southbound lanes of U.S. 52 has been cleared from the roadway and all lanes have reopened.

The driver, 42-year-old Antoine Banard Perry, of Charlotte, sustained minor injuries in the accident and was transported to a local hospital.

Perry was later cited for speeding and transporting an unsecured load in a trailer.

NCDOT first announced the closure around 4:15 p.m.
