Video shows 3-year-old girl waking up at her own funeral, according to report

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — A video has surfaced online that apparently shows a 3-year-old girl, who was clinically dead, waking up during her funeral service at a church in Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur, according to The Phillippine Star.

A video of the funeral went viral and police confirmed the incident to the paper, citing reports from personnel dispatched to verify the case.

The video apparently shows the girl being prepared for her funeral. Moments later, the girl started breathing and was removed from her coffin by her father.

According to reports, she had experienced a severe fever for several days.

“During that time, the attending clinic personnel and physician confirmed that the young patient had no more pulse and was clinically dead last Saturday morning about 9 a.m.,” Teelan told The Phillippine Star.

The family started to prepare her for her funeral service. The family then went to the church where a priest administered the last sacrament. Based on reports, a mourner who removed the cover of the coffin observed the girl’s head move.

“This prompted them to check and confirmed the girl had pulse and was alive,” Teelan said.

The girl was immediately given water and taken to a clinic for a check-up. The girl was then taken home.

The family is now reportedly searching for a hospital that can provide better care.

When did they start having funerals without the body being embalmed and prepared prior to being placed in a coffin???? Sounds all to be a joke to me!

Third world countries like the Philippines tend not to embalm their dead, its to expensive for the majority of the population to afford. If her family could have afforded to embalm her they would have been able to afford better care that wouldn’t have declared her dead in the first place

Some religions don’t believe in embalming. Maybe with all the movement, her heart began beating.

The medical practices and equipment used in other parts of the world may not be up to standards as well as a slowed and faint beat could have resulted in failure to acquire a pulse from the little girl. Where as the clinic should have probably tried a more thorough approach to check if the girl was actually dead.

It’s nothing but Jesus…. A doctor is a doctor and she was pronounced dead. People can’t possibly think this a hoax, error, or coincidence. She came back RIGHT BEFOR she was about to be buried. Be open minded about it.

Never count your blessings or take them for granted. Just be thankful that you are able to see another day. People underestimate the power of God…..he is the higher power and will always have the last say. This little angel wasn’t ready to be called home. This little girl has a purpose on this earth and may God bless this family.

We were recently in Belize and were told that they do not have funeral homes so the people are not embalmed like in the US. So, I can see how this can happen…

Most of us blindly believe what the doctors/medical personnel tell us. If you are uneducated, live in a society , as we say backwoods, there would be no reason to suspect a mistake had happened. BUT what I see and read on the internet, I do so with an open mind, realizing that people do many things for reasons we don’t understand. Some of the scams start out as playing on others sympathies. Things like this CAN happen, and probably more often than any of us in the modern world could fathom.
