Road rage incident leads to shots fired outside Lowe’s in Kernersville

KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Two men were arrested after police say a case of road rage led to shots being fired in Kernersville Sunday night.

Officers say the incident began around 5:12 p.m. when Thomas Charles Landry, 50, struck a pedestrian in the Lowes Home Improvement parking lot on Harmon Creek Road.

The pedestrian, 30-year-old Justin Grant Nelson, retaliated by firing a gun at the vehicle, according to police.

No one was injured in the incident.

Landry was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and Nelson was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and discharging a firearm within town limits.

Both were taken to the Forsyth County Jail.
