Greensboro man wanted in Trent Street shooting that left one dead, one injured
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are looking for a 26-year-old man in connection with Friday’s shooting at Timber Hollow Apartments.
The shooting left one man dead and another seriously injured.
Detectives obtained a warrant for Brandon Jawon Pompey’s arrest after linking him to the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Clarence Eugene Toran, Jr.
Toran was found deceased the parking lot of 3315 Trent Street shortly before 4 a.m. on July 11.
Pompey, of 1015 Glendale Drive, faces a first degree murder charge in the death of Toran, and a charge of attempted first degree murder for the shooting of Toran’s brother, Terence Allen Toran, 22.
Police say that Pompey, who also goes by “Lil Man” and “Shitchea,” should be considered armed and dangerous.
He is described as a 5’6” tall, black male weighing approximately 150 lbs. He has multiple tattoos, including some on his hands and arms. He may have altered his appearance in an effort to avoid arrest.
Pompey is known to frequent the area of Cone Boulevard, Trent Street and Utah Place. He may also visit the Depot, police say.
