NC man arrested after wig falls off during armed robbery
WILSON, N.C. — A North Carolina man who lost his wig during a robbery has been arrested, according to police.
WTVD-TV reported that the crime happened around 10:45 a.m. Monday at a North Carolina State Employees Credit Union in Wilson.
Police said the suspect’s dread-lock wig fell off as he fled the scene on a bicycle, revealing that he actually had short hair.
The Wilson Police Department said Friday that Antonio D. Pitt, 20, of Wilson, has been charged with armed robbery.
Wilson police officers with the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, N.C. State Highway Patrol, and the Nash County Sheriff’s Office arrested Pitt in a traffic stop along Interstate 95.
