ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A registered sex offender in Alamance County is accused of using a cell phone to take photos up a girl’s skirt in a store.

Aaron James Nishikawa, 36, of Mebane, was arrested Thursday and charged with indecent liberties with a child and probation violation charges.

Specific details on the crime including the date, location and age of the victim have not been released.

Officials said the suspect stored the images on electronic devices in violation of state and federal statutes by the individual.

The suspect was arrested after officials with the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office searched his electronic devices and found evidence, according to authorities.

The suspect was placed in the Alamance County Detention Center under a $170,000 secured bond and has court planned for Friday.

Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are anticipated.

Nishikawa became a registered sex offender after being convicted of indecent liberties with a minor in Wake County last year. He was 33 and the victim was 10, according to the North Carolina Department of Justice.
