WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A portion of Hanes Mall was temporarily without power Thursday afternoon.

Charles Gwinn, the general manager at the mall, said the outage impacted half of the stores.

Duke Energy told mall workers the outage was caused by a damaged line at a substation.

The power is restored according to the Duke Energy Outage Map, which is not currently showing any customers without power in the vicinity of the mall.

I was there eating at Ruby Tuesday’s around 2:00. Power just went out. It appeared to be off at all the stores surrounding the restaurant as well.
