Sex offender arrested on multiple violations in Alamance Co.
ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — A Mebane sex offender has been arrested in connection with multiple crimes.
North Carolina Probation and Parole requested assistance from the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office regarding a registered sex offender in Alamance County on June 17.
Probation and Patrol developed information that inappropriate images were being stored and viewed on electronic devices by the suspect in violation of both state and federal statutes.
A search was conducted of the suspect’s premises and electronic devices, and substantial evidence was recovered.
On July 10, Aaron James Nishikawa, 36, of Mebane, was arrested and charged with indecent liberties with a child and probation violation.
Nishikawa was placed in the Alamance County Detention Center under a $170,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court July 11.
