Charlotte Hornets offer 4-year, $63 million deal to Utah’s Hayward

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Hornets are offering a large amount of money in an attempt to bring a top forward to the team, according to WSOC-TV.

Overnight, the team sent an offer sheet to Utah Jazz standout Gordon Hayward. ESPN reported that the offer is a four-year deal worth a maximum $63 million.

The Jazz now has three days to match the deal. Hayward played alongside Hornets center Al Jefferson while he was in Utah.
