GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Greater Greensboro Entertainment Group is announcing a new venue coming to downtown.

The group isn't releasing too many details about the venue other than it is planned to go in on South Elm Street and it promises to bring a national presence to downtown Greensboro.

Business owners in Greensboro are already talking about the new venue and getting pretty excited.

"A lot of people want this. They want live music. They want that presence. I'm astounded that this is happening," says Chris Flathers, owner of Stumble Stilskins.

"They are going to be hungry and thirsty and we hope they'll walk the half block to come see us," says Kristina Fuller, owner of Crafted.

More details on the announcement are planned to be announced on Thursday at 11 a.m. FOX8 will have a crew there and bring you the latest.

Just another crime scene waiting to happen! Downtown only needs respectable owners and less money hungry beer drinking, coke snorting, club owners. Get rid of the alcohol being served until someone literally cant stay awake and all will be better. Clubs need to be shut down downtown ASAP!

Howdy just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words
in your article seem to be running off the screen in Internet explorer.

I’m not sure if this is a format issue or something to
do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I’d post
to let you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get
the problem resolved soon. Many thanks
