Man hit by stray bullet during celebration at Buddhist center in Charlotte
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man was hit in the head by a stray bullet Friday night as hundreds were celebrating a new Buddhist temple in Charlotte.
WSOC-TV reported that the bullet came down through the tent on Owen Boulevard off North Tryon Street, striking the vendor, who was cooking food.
Police said they believe someone from outside of the area shot a gun in the air.
The shooting victim was taken to the hospital and officers believe the man will be alright.
