Family’s home a total loss after fire in High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. — A family’s home is a total loss after a house fire Saturday afternoon in High Point.

Crews have responded to the fire shortly before 1 p.m. at 310 Avery Ave. Four High Point fire trucks were at the scene and had the blaze out shortly later.

Officials said no people were injured, but a few cats were killed.

The home is said to be a total loss. It remains uncertain how the fire started.

Police had blocked off Pine Circle Drive as firefighters worked the scene.
