WILKES COUNTY, N.C. — A 17-year-old male has been arrested in connection to a Wilkes County shooting that authorities said left two people dead.
Kenneth Wayne Myers Jr. has been charged with two counts of murder in connection to a fatal shooting reported overnight Thursday at a home in the Shepherds’ Cross Roads community.
Authorities were called around midnight Friday in the 200 block of Peace Valley Road.
One male and one female victim were found dead in the home’s driveway, according to deputies. The suspect was arrested at the scene. Deputies have not said the suspect’s relationship to the victims.
The identities of the victims have not been released. Investigators believe the shooting started as a domestic situation. The investigation is ongoing.
