Tasty ballpark recipes you’ll enjoy at Winston-Salem Dash

When you head to the ball game this summer, hot dogs and peanuts are popular foods to eat.

But if you go see the Winston-Salem Dash for July 4th, you can also enjoy great dishes like fried chicken and sausages off the grill.

FOX8 is at BB&T ballpark in Winston-Salem Wednesday showing you some of the recipes

Chicken Seasoning

6 tbs. kosher salt
6 tbs. coarsely ground pepper
3 tbs. granulated garlic
1 tbs. dried thyme
1 tbs. dried mustard
1 tbs. smoked paprika
1 ½ tbs. ground nutmeg

Combine all the ingredients and store in an airtight container

Buttermilk Fried Chicken

2-3 lb. chicken cut up and cleaned
1 qt. buttermilk
2 tbs. kosher salt
1 tsp. granulated garlic
1 tsp. dried thyme
1 tbs. black pepper

For the Seasoned Flour:
2 c. all-purpose flour
3 tbs. cornstarch
2 tbs. chicken seasoning
Vegetable oil for frying

Combine the buttermilk, salt, garlic, thyme, black pepper in a large bowl. Add the chicken, cover-refrigerate 6 hours or overnight. Heat the oil in a large skillet on cast-iron pan. Combine the flour cornstarch-chicken seasoning in a bowl. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture coating it well. Add the chicken to the oil and brown the chicken on 1 side about 10 minutes. Turn the chicken over and continue to fry. The chicken is done when the instant read thermometer in the thickest part, register 170 degrees.

Oriental Turkey Burger

1 lb White Ground Turkey meat
Soy Sauce 2 oz
Sriracha 1 Tablespoon
Powdered Ginger 1 teaspoon
Chopped Garlic 1 Tablespoon
Panko Bread Crumbs 1 cup
Pineapple cole slaw
Pineapple cole slaw

Shredded cole slaw mix 8 oz bag
Diced pineapple 8 oz
Mayonnaise 4 oz
Salt and pepper to taste
Vinegar 1 Tablespoon
Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Grilled Onion Roll

Grilled Vegetables
Zucchini 3 Zucchini
Squash 3 Squash
Red Peppers 3 peppers
Olive oil ½ Cup
Salt and Pepper to taste

Beer Poached Grilled Sausage

6 Sausages
Sautéed Peppers and onions 2 peppers and 2 onions
Honey Mustard 6 oz
Pretzel Roll
