Boyfriend of missing teacher returns to Charlotte in police custody
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The boyfriend of missing teacher Bianca Tanner was returned to Charlotte Tuesday morning in police custody.
Angelo Smith waived extradition after facing a judge Monday in Chicago.
Smith was denied bond on Saturday morning.
Federal marshals arrested him outside of Chicago on a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Tanner disappeared three weeks ago.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is calling her disappearance a homicide investigation, but have not named Smith as a suspect.
