WALNUT HILL, Fla. — A 71-year-old Florida man allegedly shot his son during a family argument after the 32-year-old attempted to flee the verbal spat on a riding lawn mower, according to northescambia.com.
Marshall H. Harmon began arguing with his son when the younger Harmon boarded a riding lawn mower in an attempt to flee. Harmon got into his pickup truck and chased after his son, according to the report.
Harmon caught up with his son and allegedly fired two shots at the lawn mower. One of the bullets struck the victim’s neck.
The victim was treated at a local hospital but is expected to recover.
Harmon was charged with aggravated battery.
