Greensboro police search for suspect in attempted bank robbery

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Greensboro police are searching for a man accused of trying to rob a bank on Saturday morning.

Police said the suspect entered the Bank of America at 1616 E. Bessemer Avenue around 9:39 a.m., approached the manager and demanded money.

But the suspect then left in an unknown direction without taking any money, according to police.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, about six feet tall, with facial hair, an afro-style haircut and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and tan boots, according to police.
