BURLINGTON, N.C. -- A man was arrested after police say he shot two teens in Burlington Thursday night.
Officers responded to a home on Perry Circle around 10:21 p.m. where they found a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old suffering from gunshot wounds.
Police say the shooting spurred from a physical fight between the 16-year-old and a 15-year-old. The 15-year-old left the home and returned with 22-year-old Tyson Lamar Goins.
Goins produced a shotgun and shot at the door of the home, striking both the 15-year-old and 16-year-old who were still inside, police say.
The 16-year-old was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 15-year-old was taken to the hospital by his parents.
Goins and the 15-year-old were later located and arrested by police.
Goins, of Burlington, is charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. He is in the Alamance County Jail under a $233,050 bond.
The 15-year-old was taken to the Guilford County Juvenile Detention Facility pending his appearance in Juvenile Court.
