Greensboro convenience store clerk shot, 3 suspects sought
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Officers are searching for three suspects in connection with the shooting of a convenience store clerk Friday evening.
The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and EMS responded to the Kash Kwik Stop No. 2, located at 3902 Liberty Road, shortly before 9 p.m. in reference to a robbery attempt and shooting.
Two store clerks were inside the store when two black males wearing masks entered the business. During the robbery attempt, one of the clerks was shot. He has been transported to a local hospital and his current condition is not known.
It is unclear if money or property was stolen from the business.
The suspects fled in a car being driven by a third suspect. Sheriff’s deputies say the getaway car was a burgundy sedan that may be a Ford Taurus. The suspects were last seen traveling back toward central Greensboro.
