RALEIGH, N.C. — A Zebulon father is charged with several counts of misdemeanor child abuse after police say he left three small children in a hot car while he went shopping.

Terrance Ford, 28, is accused of leaving his three girls inside of a minivan that wasn’t running, while the temperature inside crept above 100 degrees.

Police received a call around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday about small children left in a vehicle in the 6200 block of Glenwood Avenue.

When police arrived on scene, they found that the caller had already taken the girls out of the car. Their father was inside one of the stores and he was arrested and charged with three counts of misdemeanor child abuse.

The girls are ages 6, 5 and 10 months old.

They are with family and expected to be OK.

idiot…some people just deserve to be let out in the wild jungle to fend for themselves and nobody care if they make it back. Pure devil to do this to kids, let alone his own. I guess his SSi and welfar deposit hit, so time to spend it on some new Lebron’s or KD’s….lol

Idiot is right …. there have been enough of these stories in the news that it should be considered intentional attempted murder.
