Thomasville man accused of breaking into home, kidnapping woman

DAVIDSON COUNTY, N.C. – A Thomasville man is accused of breaking into a home, kidnapping a woman and pointing a gun at her, according to the Lexington Dispatch.

Sterling Hannibal Franks, 22, faces various charges including felony second-degree kidnapping, misdemeanor assault by pointing a gun, misdemeanor assault on a female, felony breaking and entering to terrorize.

The paper reported that the suspect is accused of grabbing the female victim’s throat and punching her in the chest. He also allegedly took her cell phone when she was on the phone with 911.

The suspect was placed in the Davidson County Detention Center under no bond. He has court planned on July 17.
