New anti-smoking ads featuring late Winston-Salem woman released

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention released new anti-smoking ads on Tuesday that are designed to shock and disgust people. reported that the latest “Tips From Former Smokers” ads feature people who suffered significantly from smoking.

One of the ads features Terrie Hall, a Winston-Salem woman who died last year at the age of 53. She was well known for educating people about the dangers of tobacco use.

Officials said the ads are tough to watch, but effective. Watch Hall’s ad in the video above.
