App State student charged with raping fellow student, police say
BOONE, N.C. — A Watauga County man was arrested last week after police say he sexually assaulted a fellow college student.
Samuel Wayne Luellen, 24, of Boone, is charged with one count of felony second degree rape, Boone police said in a news release.
According to detectives, Luellen and the 22-year-old victim are both students at Appalachian State University.
The alleged incident occurred off-campus.
Luellen’s bond was set at $125,000.
