Davidson Co. YMCA bus fire not arson, cause undetermined

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A fire that destroyed a YMCA bus in Thomasville Tuesday was not caused by arson, according to investigators.

The bus fire was reported around 3:34 a.m. at the Finch YMCA just a couple hours after three “suspicious” fires were potentially set in the Davidson County area.

When crews arrived at the YMCA on Mendenhall Street, they found the bus completely engulfed in flames. The bus was destroyed.

An investigation by Thomasville Police, Thomasville Fire and the State Bureau of Investigation Fire Investigator shows that the fire was not caused by arson, but has been listed as undetermined at this point.

Wait the cause is listed as “undetermined” but the geniuses have “determined” that it wasn’t arson? Davidson fire folks are generally awful.
