Quintuplets born to couple just in time for Father’s Day

PHOENIX, Ariz. — A family has five new reasons to make Father’s Day extra special.

Roxanna and Michael Hoffman are the proud parents of quintuplets born Friday the 13th.

Roxanna Hoffman is in good condition at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center, and their quintuplets are receiving care in the facility’s neonatal intensive care unit.

The Hoffman’s relocated to the Phoenix area from New Jersey.

Michael Hoffman, a staff sergeant stationed Luke Air Force Base, was relocated to Phoenix by the Air Force so he could be closer to his wife after she was admitted to Banner Good Samaritan.

The babies, one boy and four girls, were born between 8:15 a.m. and 8:17 a.m., following a pregnancy of 31 weeks and one day. The national average gestation for quintuplets is 28 weeks.

Banner Good Samaritan is part of Banner Health, a nonprofit health care system with 25 hospitals in seven states.
