Man arrested in shooting at Greensboro gas station

GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man has been arrested in connection with a shooting at a gas station in Greensboro early Thursday morning.

Malcolm Wayne Simpson, 21, of Silverbriar Court, is accused of shooting Devon Ja-Qual Feimster, 25, outside an Exxon on East Market Street.

Feimster suffered life-threatening injuries to his head and stomach. An update on his condition is not available at this time.

Greensboro Police say they believe the shooting stemmed from an argument between Feimster and two suspects, both of which he appeared to know. A second suspect has not been identified.

Simpson was arrested Friday morning and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

He is in the Guilford County Jail under a $150,000 bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
