GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. — The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has identified a homicide victim whose body was found Thursday morning in the McLeansville area.
The victim has been identified as 45-year-old Joyce Price Eaton of High Point. Deputies said her body was found along AT&T Drive by a landscaping crew who reported it to authorities.
Deputies responded to the scene around 11:20 a.m. and found the body on the side of the road about 1/4 mile from Mt. Hope Church Road.
The victim had been shot at least one time and stabbed at least one time, according to Randy Powers with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies believe her body had been there 15-20 hours.
Guilford County deputies have not released any other information about the incident, which is being investigated as a homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
