MADISON, Conn. — A Connecticut woman is facing assault charges after police say she attacked a 17-year-old boy who was flying a drone-like device over the beach at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison.

According to the Hartford Courant, Andrea Mears, 23, attacked Austin Haughwout because she thought he was taking inappropriate pictures of people sunbathing with his drone.

Editor’s note: The video contains vulgar language. Viewer discretion advised.

He caught the entire assault on his iPhone and posted it to YouTube this weekend.

The video shows a woman pulling on the neck of Haughwout’s shirt and clawing at his face while calling him a “little pervert.”

Police said Mears called May 12 to report that someone was flying a remote-controlled aircraft with a camera on it over the beach.

A short time later, Haughwout called to report that he was being assaulted by a woman, later identified as Mears, police said.

No charges were filed against Haughwout.

Haughwout told police he was flying his radio-controlled quadcopter over the beach, but images of people caught on video would not be very legible.

Nope, in today’s feminist society, those old norms are out the window….if they want to compete with men and serve along side of them in combat, then they too are fair game for a butt-whooping. Can’t have it both ways!

Even if he was taking pictures, it’s a public beach. I’m not saying I approve, but if you walk out in public 90% naked! you have no assumption of privacy.

Real men don’t hit women. Real women don’t hit men. He’s the class act here. She’s the trash act.

what a bunch of wussies. Grow up both of you. If you were being “assaulted” you’d really know it. Wimps.

I don’t know. She ripped his shirt to shreds. That’s not an easy thing to do. She had no right laying a hand (yes, that’s all it takes for an assault to occur.) on him. First because she just shouldn’t, Second he’s a minor. He wasn’t doing anything wrong by strapping any kind of a camera to the helicopter. It’s no different that standing there taking video. If she’s that self conscious then she needs to stay indoors.

At what point would it have been legal for him to defend himself by striking back? I am not concerned with anyone’s ideals, just an EDUCATED answer..

People like you are the reason there are soo many people in prison for aab. You should not be allowed to reproduce.

Once she starts assaulting him he has every right to defend himself. Personally, I would have done my best to knock her out. It isn’t about a man hitting a woman, it is about a human protecting himself from an attacker.
