MADISON, Conn. — A Connecticut woman is facing assault charges after police say she attacked a 17-year-old boy who was flying a drone-like device over the beach at Hammonasset Beach State Park in Madison.
According to the Hartford Courant, Andrea Mears, 23, attacked Austin Haughwout because she thought he was taking inappropriate pictures of people sunbathing with his drone.

He caught the entire assault on his iPhone and posted it to YouTube this weekend.
The video shows a woman pulling on the neck of Haughwout’s shirt and clawing at his face while calling him a “little pervert.”
Police said Mears called May 12 to report that someone was flying a remote-controlled aircraft with a camera on it over the beach.
A short time later, Haughwout called to report that he was being assaulted by a woman, later identified as Mears, police said.
No charges were filed against Haughwout.
Haughwout told police he was flying his radio-controlled quadcopter over the beach, but images of people caught on video would not be very legible.
