Shots fired during fight at NC courthouse

HENDERSON, N.C. — Shots were fired outside the Vance County Courthouse on Tuesday morning, according to the Daily Dispatch.

Bianca Terry, a witness who was standing outside the courthouse, told the Dispatch she witnessed a fight between two men that escalated into gunfire around 11:15 a.m.

Terry said she saw one man punch another, who then responded by pulling his gun out and firing at least five or six shots.

The man being shot at reportedly escaped on foot without any serious injuries.

An investigation is ongoing, according to police.
