RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. -- Storms that moved through the Piedmont Monday left a mess in several areas, especially Randolph County.

Many trees and power lines are reported to be down, mainly in Randleman and Seagrove.

The storm initially left more than 3,000 people without power Monday night.

As of Tuesday, the number was down to around 1,500, according to Duke Energy.

Randleman was hit hard, according to Randolph County 911 Communications, who say East Naomi Street is blocked due to fallen trees.

Crews are responding Tuesday to begin cleanup.
