GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A big time brewery could be on tap for Greensboro. Stone Brewing Company is based out of California and they're looking to expand east.

Greensboro is on Stone Brewing's shortlist. City officials tell us the company is also looking at: Richmond, Va., Norfolk, Va., Greenville, S.C. and Cincinnati, Ohio.

"I believe we should be the number one spot," says Greensboro Mayor Nancy Vaughan.
Over five years, the company is looking at a $60 million investment. Stone Brewing Company is searching for a 15-acre spot to build a restaurant, a brewery, a distribution center, as well as a retail center. The company is expecting to add 328 jobs over three years.

Stone Brewing is one of the fastest growing breweries in the country.

"You look at other areas that are booming Asheville, Charlotte, they are little bit crowded. We have room here," says Kayne Fisher, founder of Natty Greene's.

Stone Brewing is expected to make a decision next month. Construction is planned for later on this year.
