ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. — An unknown substance spill in Alamance County has caused a motorcyclist to wreck Friday morning.

N.C. Highway Patrol says the motorcyclist was traveling north on Trollingwood-Hawfields Road when he rode over an unknown substance and wrecked his bike.

His injuries were non-life threatening and he was treated at the scene.

Crews are trying to determine what the substance is and how it spilled.

The area is expected to be closed until noon.
