Suspect sought for robbery of Burlington bank

BURLINGTON, N.C. — Police are searching for a man in connection with the robbery of a Burlington bank on Friday morning.

Officers responded to the Carter Bank and Trust, located at 1534 N. Church St., short after 10 a.m. in reference to a reported robbery.

Employees told police a black male, approximately 40 to 50 years old, wearing a brown shirt, tan pants and white tennis shoes, entered the bank and produced a note demanding money.

The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and provided an undisclosed amount of money to the suspect.

The suspect fled the scene on a bicycle riding north on Cobb Avenue toward Vaughn Road.
